Below is recent close out data on a group of IR sired heifers.
Feed conversion is one of the most important drivers of profitability — whether you’re maintain - ing a cow herd or finishing cattle in the feedlot. Hidden within the dynamics of the herd or feedlot group are significant differences on an individual basis. This is where Bovabytes makes a difference. Below is a chart showing the value of incremental improvement in conversion over two recent studies con- ducted through Bovabytes.
Our data indicates there is typically a $700 to $1000 range in individual profitability in a pen of cat - tle as a result of feed efficiency!
