DR. TALBOT RETURNS HOME After capturing on film in full color sound reproduction the historic coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, Dr. Louis T. Talbot, beloved Chancellor of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, has returned to this country and for the next few weeks, will be holding meetings in the Pacific Coast area.

Bringing in all of the ancient glorious splen– dor of the Coronation, the films which Dr. Tal–
bot will show in churches across the land will graphically por- tray the vivid and significant Christian importance of the tra· ditional ceremony which re· cently took place. Truly it was the "Pageant of the Centuries" and holds a great deal of in– terest for Christians today. This phase of the testimony of a na· tion will be given in detail by Dr. Talbot at each of his special meetings. While over in Scotland and England, Dr. Talbot also pho- tographed pictures of the his– toric churches, homes, and graves of such Christian re– formers as John Wesley, John Knox, William Tyndale and many other heroes of the faith. In addition, this series will show the spot where more than six thousands Christians were martyred for the cause of the Protestant reformation. While we would very much like to have Dr. Talbot with us all the time, his desire is to tell men and women every· where of the crying spiritual need during these dark hours of sin and unbelief. In the early fall, he will be leaving for the continent of Africa to photograph the work of BIOLA missionaries on the field. Please 1 pray for him that the. Lord ! may continue to strengthen him t in His matchless service.

The story is told of an al· chemist who came·to King Leo X saying he had discovered the way to transmute the baser metals into gold. He, of course, expected to receive a huge sum of money for his discovery, but Leo was not the simpleton the Alchemist thought. He merely gave the "discoverer" a large purse in which to keep the gold he would supposedly make. From the wit of this ancient, we can clearly see how God deals with the hearts of men and women who are proud and arrogant and endeavor to ac- complish great feats in their own selfish strength. So it is with our Christian stewardship, for how often we hang tenaciously to those earthly things we own. We dare not let go of our bank account, our fond dreams and " towers of castled fancies. Yet, God is never debtor to any man. I have yet to see the Christian who gives his just stewardship to God, and to whom God does not give back even greater blessings. Relying on selfish strength for gain is
