It rather troubles me when asked to identify some particular subject or event in the prophetic record. Quite naturally men ask the more obscure and difficult as well as less obvious points for identification. It is not this that troubles, but rather the very evident regard for the particular that often means that the general picture is not a matter of real concern. The fact that so many have felt that they had discovered the anti-christ in men of history who long since have gone their way, should warn us against too quick or dogmatic an apperception of any of the details of prophecy that are still to be realized in an unknown future — unknown, because God has not chosen to reveal to us the day nor the hour; unknown, because it has not become a part of our personal experience and, more important, the greater part will never be a part of our own experience;
