Welcome to Your Program Guide!

Dear Girl Scouts,

Who’s ready for summer? We can’t wait to get back outdoors with you, enjoying the beautiful weather and experiencing a wide array of adventures. We also have exciting community partners leading fun new programs including yoga, robotics, creative arts, and so much more! We know you have already started planning for summer. Take a look inside this guide to find activities to spark your girl(s)’ interests and fill a gap in your / her calendar. We’ve got something for every girl from longer trips for our teens to overnight and day only activities at our camps for all ages. Travel with experienced Girl Scout guides to Utah’s Mighty Five National Parks for incredible hiking, camping, and exploring! Or stay closer to home with an Outdoor Journey Overnight at one of our local camps. We’re also proud to offer even more Badge Workshops and Journey programming throughout spring and summer! Join us to learn a new skill and spend some quality time with your fellow Girl Scouts.

How to Use This Book in Three Easy Steps... 1. Girls must be registered members who meet the Girl Scout program age level requirement for the event. Any girl in grades K-12 who is currently not a registered Girl Scout may register as a member to attend events and activities. 2. Troop leaders or other currently registered and background-checked adults must attend activities/events with troops. Unless otherwise noted, they are responsible for ensuring the girls’ safety and maintaining the ratio. Please refer to Safety Activity Checkpoints for these safety details. 3. Individual Girl Scouts can attend most of the activities/events listed. Unless otherwise noted, an adult caregiver must chaperone and be responsible for their girl(s) at an event/activity.

Community Partner Experiences Many of the activities and events in this guide are hosted by our amazing community partners, who focus experiences on Girl Scout core programming. Troop leaders or other approved adults are required to attend events with their Girl Scouts and are responsible for ensuring the safety of the girls. Community partner facilitators are never counted in the ratio for the girls. Some community partnerships manage their own registration, and in these situations, the contact information is on the online event listing. Thank you to our incredible community partners for creating these opportunities for Girl Scouts!

Cancellation Policy Experiences may be canceled due to the required minimum number of participants not being met or, in other cases, like severe weather. Only those registered will be notified if the experience is canceled or moved to a new date. Please review the cancellation policy listed for each program for more information.

The Coterie’s Girl Scout Day: Cinderella A Salsa Fairy Tale Date : March 22 from 1:30pm- 2:30pm Age Level: D B J C S A What will happen to Cinderella at the ball … game? That’s the surprising climactic question in this contemporary Latin- American Cinderella musical, which delightfully turns the classic fairy tale on its head, telling the story from both Cinderella and the “stepsister’s” perspective. Cinderella, a newcomer from Puerto Rico, comes to visit her “stepsister,” Rosa, in the United States. The catch … Cinderella only speaks Spanish and Rosa only speaks English. Will these two girls be able to reach an understanding at the (basket) ball game? With a fairy godfather and other delightful twists to the original story, Cinderella: A Salsa Fairy Tale weaves a subtle lesson on empathy, sportsmanship, and respect. Join us for a Girl Scout Brownie Dance Party unlike any other! We’ll be grooving under black lights and a dazzling disco ball as we work towards earning our Dancer badge. Through fun dance games, awesome choreography, and electrifying performances, we’ll move through all five steps of the badge. For this project, we will tinker with the function and fit of a headband, explore upcycled materials and how we can transform scraps into something useful, and learn basic hand sewing skills to make the bands strong. She & Me Butterfly Paint Party with Pave Creative Date : May 2 from 6pm-7:30pm Age Level : D B J C S A Our She & Me Paint Party is perfect for a female role model and their Girl Scout to celebrate Mother’s Day! Mothers, Aunties, Grandmas, Sisters and Friends are welcome! Attendees will get to recreate a side-by-side painting of two Springtime Butterflies flying in a field of flowers! Our party will be guided by an instructor to teach them about shading, texture, brush technique and color theory. Location : Pave Creative (6335 W 110th St, Overland Park, KS 66211) Cost : $15

Girl Scout Night at Starlight Theatre: Mean Girls Date : May 24 at 8pm Age Level : C S A Join us for Mean Girls, the twelve- time Tony Award nominated musical that gives a peek into ups and downs of high school friendships. Based on the hit 2004 movie of the same name, Mean Girls follows a group of teenagers through the ruthless halls of high school as protagonist Cady Heron navigates “girl world” – a concept new to her after growing up on the remote African Savannah.. Girl Scout Night at the Shakespeare Festival Date : June 21 at 6pm Age Level : C S A Join Heart of America Shakespeare Festival for an evening of Shakespeare under the stars! Bring your family, friends, and a picnic to our FREE production of Love’s Labour’s Lost on June 21, 2025. Gates open at 6 p.m. with a special backstage tour just for Girl Scouts and their guests at 6:15 p.m. After the tour, be sure to catch the pre- show parody performed by our apprentice acting troop, Team Shakespeare and then settle into a special section of seating set aside for Girl Scouts and their guests. The Coterie’s Girl Scout Day: A Year with Frog and Toad Date : June 28 from 1:30pm- 2:30pm Age Level : D B J C S A Well-loved characters hop from the page to the stage in A Year with Frog and Toad, the Tony Award-nominated musical following two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad – through four, fun-filled seasons. Part vaudeville, part make-believe, all charm, A Year with Frog and Toad tells the story of a friendship that endures, weathering all seasons. Channel Your Adventurous Spirit! Ready to fly high or try your hand at archery? Channel your intrepid spirit with our professional guides at camp! Check out scheduled sessions for adventure opportunities and join your fellow Girl Scouts in these exciting outdoor opportunities! Prices range from $12-$25 depending on the activity.

Archery: Girls will learn basic archery techniques, safety, and shooting skills through hands-on practice and participation using compound bows. 3-D Archery: Take your archery skills to the next level! Girls will refresh their basic archery techniques, while learning how to shoot from different distances using different shooting techniques. We recommend completing the Archery activity prior. Canoeing: Girls will learn basic boat control, paddling, and waterfront safety, then play a fun game to apply their new skills. Climbing: Girls will learn the basics of climbing including the safety equipment required. Then, they’ll test their skills on our 40-foot climbing wall!

Daisy Climbing Wall: Get prepared for your progression to the 40-foot climbing tower! This introductory program uses our 10-foot wall to teach girls climbing holds, proper climbing technique, and information on the climbing equipment. Flying Squirrel: Join us for our newest adventure activity! During this activity, you’ll get acquainted, build your trust, and take on the challenge of choice by flying with our trained Adventure Staff and your belay team! Knife Throwing: Girls will learn knife throwing basics including safety measures, techniques, and stance, before aiming at targets. Low Ropes: Girls will improve collaboration, cooperation, and communication through games and activities on our Low Ropes Course. Rappelling: Girls will learn the basics of rappelling, from the equipment and safety measures to basic rappelling techniques. They’ll then put their skills to the test by rappelling down the 40-foot tower.

Slingshots: Girls will learn range rules, slingshot shooting, and discover the science behind target sounds. They’ll play paintball connect four to test their skills. Team Building: Girls will learn communication techniques, improve interpersonal skills, and problem-solving tactics to work as a team to complete challenges. Team building is great for new and established troops! Tomahawks: Girls will learn all about tomahawk throwing from where it came from and the history of the sport to proper throwing stance and technique. After learning the basics, girls will get a chance to test their skills with our team throwing games. Zipline: Get ready to zip through the trees! Choose your challenge, learn ziplining safety measures, and experience an adrenaline packed adventure!

Crate Stacking: Girls will work as a team to build a tower out of crates. Using

communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills they’ll work together to support the tower and add additional crates.
