Jump Into the Trades! with Peaslee Technical Training Center Date : March 29 from 9am-11:30pm Age Level : J C Learn about careers in carpentry, welding, automotive, robotics, and more through hands-on activities and get you one step closer to earning your Automotive Engineering badge, Programming Robotics badge, and Woodworker badge. Location : Peaslee Technical Training Center (2920 Haskell Avenue, Lawrence, KS 66046) Cost : $10 Brownie Robotics 1 Badge Workshop: ‘Bots & Brownies Date : April 1 from 6pm-7:30pm Age Level : B Creativity and Engineering collide in this fun and tasty robot building experience. Build different robots: you will make a dancing foam bot and program a buzzing art bot that draws its own colorful designs. Put your mechanical creations to the test in the robot arena for a foam bot dance-off and art bot paint party. Flour Rangers! Grinding Flour for Girl Scout Cookies Date : April 2 from 5:30pm-7:30pm Age Level : B Have you ever thought about where the flour comes from for all of the Girl Scout Cookies you sell? Join us in this exciting program to learn from flour millers about how they grind and process flour through fun activities, hear about milling careers, and even bake some cookies! Girl Scouts will receive a unique flour mill patch. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any attendees with wheat or gluten allergies.
