A. Yes, the Bible does say that. Now the world will be a converted world at the beginning of the millennial reign of Christ, but we need to remem ber that children will be born to godly parents and sometimes these children will be glory-hardened just as children of our day, bom to godly parents are sometimes gospel - hardened. Conse quently, before the Lord Jesus Christ presents the Kingdom to the Father, at the close of the thousand years, He is going to allow Satan to be loosed for a little season, that those people who feign obedience to the Lord may open ly declare themselves — and they will, for the Book of the Revelation says that great multitudes will surround the beloved city — Jerusalem — where the Lord is going to reign. Evidently they will attempt then, to do what they did 1,900 years ago, to take the Son of God and crucify Him. It is amazing the way the-millennial reign ends. It shows that men cannot be changed except by regeneration. Even the 1,000 year reign in righteous ness does not change them! May we make some observations here? During the Millennium the earth will be so perfect. And you know, there are a lot of people today who claim that if every home had two automo biles in the garage; if every desire of the heart were met, that there would be no sin in the world. And if no sin, then no crime, and no crime, then no prisons. Friends, that is all wishful thinking. The sons of some of the rich est men in America today are in pen itentiaries. During the reign of Christ there will be plenty, there will be days of heaven on earth — but if men are not re generated they are going to end just as the millennial picture portrays. In looking back through history, our finger stops upon the page where is recounted the loss of a great battle and Napoleon was banished to the Isle of Elba — a former king of France be ing restored to the throne. But there were millions of subjects still loyal to Napoleon while feigning obedience to (continued on next page) 27
that shall inherit the Kingdom of God. But these bodies which we now have of flesh, bone and blood must have a great change to come over them before they can stand in the presence of God. If you are a child of God, you know that our spirits are already redeemed— we have a redeemed spirit living in an unredeemed body. But when the Lord comes that redeemed spirit is going to be put into a new body that corruption can never touch; even death will never be able to touch it. It is going to be a real body and when we get to Hea ven, if I see one of you folk and want to shake hands with you I will not grab a handful of atmosphere. We will have redeemed spirits living in re deemed bodies. The Apostle Paul was writing about this when he was addressing the Epis tle to the Philippians and he said that the Lord shall come and He’ll change this corruptible body and make it like unto His glorious body. And in this wondrous truth lives our precious faith, a gift of our God! Q . "Does the word cosmetics come from the word cosmos? I think I have heard you mention this briefly before .” A. Yes it does. The word “cosmos” means “above the creation” and it is an interesting word. When the body of Adam was first created, it was a perfect cosmos, and then when he sinned it became a chaos. You and I are descendants of Adam, consequently this body of ours is a chaos. I have been told that we can tell how old a woman is by the amount of cosmetics she uses. Well, regardless of that, when we get our resurrection bodies there will be no need for cosmetics. When this earth was first created by God it was a perfect cosmos, but when sin came, it became a chaos and that is true in regard to the body. Q . "In the Bible it says that Satan will be loosed for a season. What is the purpose of Satan being loosed for this season?”
