start classes at 7:30 a.m. The last pe riod ends at 11:50 and the students who are assigned to the buses get their “sack lunches” and away the busses go downtown. While they are on their way, the students eat the lunches which have been prepared for them during the morning. Then they are ready for work downtown. The young people usually work in the afternoons and study in the evenings. The next morn ing they start it all over again. The easiest thing to do would be to say “no” to prospective students when they send in their applications. We would only have to say, “We haven’t room.” But when we receive a letter from a youth who says he’s been pray ing to the Lord and he feels that the Lord would have him come, it’s pretty serious business to turn him away. We need every dedicated youth we can get! This is what makes the school separate, different and distinct. It is imperative that we get these buildings constructed now if we’re going to be able to handle the growing number of young people seeking ad mission. In the light of world con ditions, we dare not turn one of them away. When they know that the Lord would have them come, we cannot, we must not turn them away. It was at that time that the Biola Board of Directors vowed that the organization would never again go into debt. We praise God that this blessed policy has been maintained even until now.
