If He came unexpected, I wonder what you'd do. I'm sure you'd give your nicest room to such an honored guest, And ail the food you'd serve to Him would be the very best. I know you'd keep assuring Him you're glad to have Him there, And serving Him in your own home would be a joy most rare. But when you saw Him coming, would you meet Him at the door, With arms outstretched in welcome to your heavenly Visitor? Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in Or hide some magazines, and put the Bible where they'd been? Would you turn the T V set off and hope He hadn't heard, And wish you hadn't uttered that last loud, .hasty word? Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books oflt? Would you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about? I wonder, if the Saviour spent a day or two with you, Would you go right on doing all the things you always do? Would you continue saying all the things you usually say? Would life for you continue as it does from day to day? Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closest friends, Or hope that they would stay away until His visit ends? Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on. Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone? He will take the reins of govern ment and rule from sea to sea and from river unto the ends of the earth. Here is a question Dr. Talbot that will be of interest to our readers. The listener to our programs asks, “Why did God tell the children of Israel to borrow from the Egyptians, jewels of silver and gold when He knew that they would not return to Egypt to pay them back?” This instruction from the Lord is recorded in Exodus 11:2. Now, as for the answer to the question, this ex pression — that is “to borrow” — was used many times in the Book of Exodus, but it does not really mean to borrow in the literal rendering of the term. On the contrary it means “to ask” as translated from the Hebrew — the Re vised Version translates it correctly — “ask.” Now you may wonder why God told His people to ask for these things from the Egyptians? The answer is that the people of Israel had earned them. For 400 years they had been slaves and
