Centennial Park Pool Centennial Park Pool has been making waves with an action-packed season of aquatic fun and fitness! A whopping 282 lap swimmers dove in to crush their cardio goals, while 144 recreational swimmers made the most of sunny days with splashes and smiles. The lanes were buzzing with team spirit as 113 Port Charlotte High School swimmers and 115 Sea Dragon Aquatics athletes trained hard and swam fast. And let’s not forget the 94 water aerobics enthusiasts who brought the energy, rhythm, and community vibes to every splash-filled session. From sunrise strokes to sunset workouts, Centennial Park Pool is the ultimate hotspot for swimmers of all ages and styles! The Pirate Invite Swim Meet made a massive splash on Saturday, 9/27, with an incredible 425 swimmers diving into the action! The pool was bursting with energy, cheers, and fierce competition as athletes from near and far battled it out in a full day of thrilling races and unforgettable moments. From powerful sprints to epic relays, every lane told a story of determination, team spirit, and pure pirate pride. With such an amazing turnout, the Pirate Invite wasn’t just a swim meet—it was a high-seas showdown to remember!
Harold Avenue Regional Park Recreation Center Harold Avenue Regional Park had 97 for Drop-in Pickleball, 123 Basketball, 26 Table Tennis and 6 for Volleyball. There were 10 walking the park for Walking Fitness this week. We had patrons come in to get active with the instructor led classes, Silver Sneakers had 54, Zumba had 16 and Pilates had 6. Bonsai brought in 4 patrons tending to their trees.
