Tinkering Lab • AGES 4-5 The Tinkering Lab is a hands-on learning space where preschoolers explore, create, build, and problem-solve using a variety of materials and tools. Children are encouraged to experiment, ask questions, test ideas, and discover how things work through open-ended play. Through collaboration with peers, they share ideas, work together on projects, practice communication skills, and learn from one another’s perspectives. Activities may include building structures, designing simple inventions, exploring cause and effect, and engaging in cooperative challenges. The Tinkering Lab fosters creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, perseverance, and confidence while nurturing a love of exploration and innovation. Students will use rhythm instruments and movement props, work on gross and fine motor skills, including balance and coordination, and engage in imaginative play.
