Small Group Piano • AGES 4-10 Group piano classes are a fantastic way for students to learn music in a fun and supportive environment. Our group piano lessons provide students with the opportunity to learn from experienced and knowledgeable teachers, and to practice alongside their peers. By learning together in a group setting, students develop important social skills like teamwork, cooperation, and communication. Each student has their own digital piano during the lesson. The required lesson and workbooks are available from the instructor at the first class for $18. After sketching plant and animal drafts with artist pencils onto paper, the kids will then be using soft quality watercolor pencils and small paintbrushes to bring their creations to life. They will apply different watercolor techniques to create fairytale forest scenes. This class is perfect for experienced students seeking to expand their creativity, or beginners eager to try something new. All the necessary artist supplies are included in this small-group workshop. We’ll explore all the basics of visual arts in a fun and confident setting that ensures success for every child, focusing on basic drawing, portraits, action, and cartooning. Students complete several different projects and learn to draw whimsical characters, animals, everyday objects, and action scenes. Young Rembrandts artists gain so much confidence. Class work explores unity of form and surface treatment with more complex forms using texture, color, scale and series of objects. Although the class title is “Advanced,” only a beginning level of clay work and familiarity with the studio is required. Your inspiration may start with Pinterest, but you will leave the class with art that is uniquely yours. Bring your inspiration, sense of humor and desire to explore your creativity in an environment that fosters personal growth. Each participant receives an individual space to store work. Folk Art painting takes the mystery out of learning, unlike something that is talent-based, this technique can easily be taught one step at a time. Participants will receive a solid foundation for this wonderful decorative art form. No previous painting or drawing experience is required. All you need is a desire to learn and a willingness to practice. All supplies are available for a fee of $25 payable to instructor at the first class.
