Volunteer coaches introduce participants to the fundamentals of playing basketball through practices and weekend games. The league emphasizes proper techniques, knowledge of the rules, team strategy, participation and fun. Enrollment in the league is limited; please register early.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES Carefully review the registration procedures. To begin the registration process, payment and a signed waiver must be submitted with your registration form. Fall 2026 Resident mail-in, drop- off and online registration begins Tuesday, September 1 at 12:00 pm. Nonresident mail-in, drop-off and online registration begins Thursday, September 3 at 12:00 pm. Winter 2027 resident mail-in, drop-off and online registration begins Tuesday, November 3 at 12:00 pm. Nonresident mail-in, drop-off and online registration
a TEAM Registration code to share with their respective players. There may be a limit to TEAM registration based on facility availability. Full payment is due at the time of registration. Teams registering have until September 30 (fall) or November 30 (winter) to withdraw and receive a refund, minus a $200 processing fee. Please Note the TEAMS will compete in a Separate Division from those registering as individuals. No Travel/ Competitive Teams are allowed as this is a Recreation based league only.
begins Thursday, November 5 at 12:00 pm. Each season new teams are formed and grouped as specified below. Individual Players are not guaranteed the same team from season to season. The deadline for all fall registrations is September 28 and the deadline for all winter registrations is December 7. Fall and Winter Season is TEAM registration. Starting in 3rd Grade, we will allow for TEAMS to register. One person will register for the Team, they will be contacted and give practice options once selected, then assigned
INFORMATION FOR ALL BASKETBALL DIVISIONS Each player must wear the league uniform that consists of a blue and white reversible jersey. Any player who does not have a blue and white reversible jersey or who needs to replace theirs MUST purchase one for an additional fee. Jerseys can be purchased at the Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Drive. School sites for practices are determined by the Park District. Because not every school is available for practices, some teams may practice at a neighboring school rather than the school attended by team members. A weekly practice is scheduled for each team but is not always guaranteed and is dependent on facility availability. FALL LEAGUE For grades Kindergarten & 1st, games will be played at school sites (Cowlishaw or Patterson); grades 2nd – 4th games are played at Fort Hill. Saturday game times between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm. (depending on total number of teams) Games for grades 5-6 and 7-8 are played on Sundays 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Should the number of teams exceed the Fort Hill Activity Center game capacity, games will be held at additional sites. PARTICIPANTS ARE ASKED TO REGISTER OR WAITLIST FOR ONE TEAM ONLY Registrants found also to be on a waitlist will be removed from the waitlisted option. Players found double registered for more than one team will be dropped from any additional teams. Adult volunteer coaches are needed for each team. EARLY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE FOR RETURNING RECREATION-BASED VOLUNTEERS ONLY.
