LICENSING SCENARIO #4: NON- GAMING VENDOR Ø Food and beverage cost are out of control in the casino and the newly hired general manager and newly hired food and beverage manager have gotten a new food provider. Ø This new food provider has helped the casino recover some of the lost within the first 60 days, Ø The Commission was brought aware that this vendor has not been licensed, Ø The Commission has issued a application and the vendor has returned.The application that was returned was not filled out at all, Ø Management says that this new vendor has helped out so much that the restaurants will finally have profit, Ø Tribal Council has made it publicly known they support and like this vendor, Ø The new GM and FnB manger both say that no one told them they had to get the vendor licensed, Ø The Commission has called a hearing to take action against the GM and FnB manager. Failure to perform job duties per licensing requirements, Ø Management has accepted the hearing notice and will be there to present their points, LICENSING SCENARIO #5:MARKETING PROMOTIONS Ø The marketing department developed a promotion to give away a car, Ø The car was purchased from a local car dealership for $25,000, Ø The dealership was not licensed by the Commission, regulation requires all vendors to be licensed by the Commission if any business it done with the Casino over $20,000, Ø The promotion was already advertised to all guest and in the local market, Ø The Casino opted to pay all subsequent licensing fees, but no one filled out the actual vendor application, Ø The Commission has called a hearing with the marketing department for failure to follow licensing regulations,
