which now claims several hundred thousand adherents. They promise their followers health and wealth and a philosophy by which they can reach perfection and ascension. They claim that Saint Germain was Samuel, and that afterwards, in a different body, he was in conference with the Lord Jesus- while He was on earth. ^ QUE.: Do you think it is be coming in Christian women to wear slacks or pajamas, even on the beach ? Speaking generally, I cannot un derstand why women should desire to dress as men. One very seldom finds men dressing as women. It is one of the characteristics of the end of the age. Now when it comes to a matter of life on the beach, or of mountain climbing, it may be more convenient and more modest for a woman to wear slacks. If some women on the beaches wore slacks instead of the little they do wear, they would look far more modest than they do. There is a command in Deut. 22:5 forbidding men and women to wear the clothes of the opposite sex: “The woman shall not wear that which per- tairieth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.” QUE.: Should we support a church that denies the deity of Christ and His finished work on Calvary? No. We should first make every ef fort, through prayer and influence, to maintain a testimony that is true to Christ and the Bible in whatever church we may join. Then, failing that, we should withdraw our mem bership, and put it where we may share in giving the Gospel to the world, as well as to feed our own souls on the Bread of Life. Certainly anyone, or any church, that denies the deity of our Lord and His finished work on the Cross should not have the support of a Christian’s gifts, or time, or interest.

be some support here for this teach ing. Others quote 1 Cor. 13:12: “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” Their argument is that this Scripture teaches that we shall know one another when we are in our glorified bodies. There are many questions that are asked in this con nection; but where the Scriptures are silent, we must be silent. ^ QUE.: What is the “ I Am” movement, and who founded it? In answering this question, we are not referring to the “I Am” movement of “Father Divine,” the colored preach er of New York, but to the “I Am” movement of the Ballards of Chicago. This cult, called “The Philosophy of Life,” was started several years ago by Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Ballard. These two, together with their son, Donald Ballard, claim to be the accredited messengers of the ascended master, Saint Germain. They claim that Saint Germain is an ascended master of the seventh ray, and that Jesus is an as cended master of the sixth ray. They have much to say about the cosmic rays, the cosmic laws, and the divine director. Their affirmations and prayers are to the “Mighty I Am Presence” above, clothed in what they call an electron ic body. They claim that the light comes from this “Mighty I Am Pres ence” to the “mighty I am presence” in the flesh-bodies here on earth. Their god is “light, wisdom, and pow er,” or “love, intelligence, and energy.” The Ballards claim to have constant contact with and revelations from the ascended master, Saint Germain. They claim that both Saint Germain and Jesus send them messages from above, in which their disciples are instruct ed to follow the teachings of the Bal lards, to buy their books, and not to listen to anything that is contrary to their teaching. This is one of the most diabolic, blasphemous delusions ever given out by Satan. There are thousands of intelligent-looking, well-dressed men and women in this movement,

QUE.: If we love God in this life, shall we be angels in Heaven?” No! Decidedly, no! The angels were created angels. We were creat ed human beings. These represent two entirely different orders of God’s creatures. Angels are spirit-beings; we are flesh and blood. And in the resurrection, we shall be “flesh and bone,” even as the risen Christ was in His glorified body. (See Luke 24:39.) The holy angels are our servants, “ministering spirits” unto us who are the “heirs of salvation” (Heb. 1:14). We are sons, members of the house hold of God. Our Lord Jesus, when He became a man, was made for a little time “lower than the angels . . . that he might taste death for every man,” and “lead many sons unto glory” to a po sition higher than the angels—“heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ” (Heb. 2:5-18; Rom. 8:17). What a wonderful Saviour! ^ QUE: Shall we recognize our loved ones in Heaven? We know One whom we are going to recognize in Heaven. The divine truth concerning this blessed reality and glorious experience is found in 1 John 3:2: “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet ap pear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” Here we learn that we are going to be like Christ, and that we shall see Him as He is. Some have used the transfiguration experience of Christ, as recorded in Matt. 17:1-13; Mark 9:2-13; Luke 9:26-38, as proof that we shall recog nize one another when we reach Heaven in our glorified bodies. The argument is that the three disciples on the mount of transfiguration rec ognized Moses and Elijah. Now Moses represented the dead in Christ who shall be raised; Elijah represented those who will remain until the rap ture and be called away to Heaven without dying. Surely, there seems to
