reading the Bible together, you would be pretty sure that it was a happy home. We will open a couple of the win dows in Mary and Martha's home and see if we can find out why it was happy. As we open the first and third windows, we see the word “L-O-V-E.” Love is a. very important thing in a happy home. Paul realized this and he wrote in 1 Corinthians. 13:4-8a (R.V.); “Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not ac count of evil; rejoiceth not in unright eousness, but rejoiceth with the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all 'things. Love never faileth.” If there were more Christian love in homes, there would be more happi ness. Fourth Week J oy a n d A B oy Object: A piece of paper 8% xll inches. ■ (Fold each end to within % inch of the middle, leaving a gap of % inch. In this spaoe print the word, “TIMOTHY.” Cut a colored picture from a catalogue or magazine, show ing a smiling young man, and paste on the flap to the left of the word “TIMOTHY.” Unfold the flaps, and using the letters in the word “TIM OTHY,” complete the following words, “FAITH, SCRIPTURES, GRANDMOTH ER, MOTHER, INSTRUCTED, CHILD and OBEYED.” ) Lesson: This is' a happy looking boy, whose picture we see on this paper. Down the middle of the paper, we read his name, “TIMOTHY.” We have chosen the face of a happy looking boy, because we are sure that Timothy in the Bible was a happy young man. How many of you young people would like to be happy? All want to be. There are few people who do not want to be happy, but there are also very few who know how to be happy. We will open this paper and see if Timothy tells us what it took to make him happy. faith ^ . m m * CHILI1 OBEYED

The first word we see is “FAITH.” We are reminded of Paul’s words to Timothy: “When I call to remem brance the unfeigned faith that is in thee” (2 Tim. 1:5). The boy or girl who has faith in Christ will be happy. The second word is “SCRIPTURES.” In 2 Tim. 3:15, we read, “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures,:, which are able to make thee $ wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” When the Scriptures' and sal vation are in a boy’s heart, he is sure to be happy. We next notice the words, “GRANDMOTHER and MOTH ER.” In speaking of Timothy’s faith, Paul said, “Which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also” (2 Tim. 1:5), The boy or girl who has Christian parents is likely to be happy. The last three words áre, “IN STRUCTED CHILD OBEYED.” They tell how Timothy, being instructed by his mother and grandmother, obeyed the teachings of the Bible. Certainly Timothy was happy, as any boy or girl will be, who, having been táught the Scriptures, obeys.
