a high pressure healing meeting, nor because of a certain atmos phere created, and on his own in itiative to call for the elders of the church. They pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. This is what has often taken place. Be sure to read verse 15. It is not the anointing with oil that does it. It is the prayer of faith that shall save the sick. Why will not people get out of verse 14 and on into verse 15 for the whole story ? There are some churches which do follow this teaching, but not very many. Healing is not in the atonement. Anointing is done by elders in a private, not in a public way, in the individual’s home. Q. Eugene, Ore. — “Is there any special Scripture to help explain to my loved ones that sports, as they are today, claim many more viewers on Sunday than we have sitters in our churches?" A. Of course, we need far more than “sitters” in the church. Many of these Sunday games do take people away from their rightful places in the church. Would to God there were as many sitting in our churches as are sitting in the living rooms or in the dens viewing sports! This is not to say that sports belong to the devil. Scripture rather teaches the need for physical refreshing since our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit. We do so much to tear these bodies down. We must take time out to build them up. There are six days out of seven where one can spend time attending sports events. Let’s keep it in its practi cal perspective. If you enter into the Lord’s Day services the way you should, you won’t h a v e strength left to do anything else. Q. Santa Ana, Calif. — “Can you

ty and owns Him as Lord, that one Christ will admit as His own before the Father in heaven. If one doesn’t receive Christ as Sav iour, he is denying Him.” These passages, you see, have far more than just an outward or super ficial application. Confession is not to be a perfunctory thing. The implications are definitely in the heart. Q. Long Beach, Calif. — “Will we all live normal lives during the thousand-year reign of Christ? Will people marry and have chil dren? What about the wives toho toill leave behind unsaved hus bands?” A. We would need to know what you mean by “normal lives.” The redeemed, of cour se , will have their redeemed or spiritual bodies. We are the bride of Christ. We will all live out the whole thou sand-year reign of Christ. If your question means will humanity in general all live out the same time, the answer is “no” (Isa. 65:20). Certain ones will die and be ac cursed after they have lived one hundred years, or a tenth of the millennium. People will marry and have children. It does not mean that those of us in the rapture will marry and have children. Scrip ture indicates just the opposite. That wives who leave unsaved hus bands is a very sad and serious matter. If one has witnessed to them and they have rejected Christ, they cannot be among the redeemed. The same is true of unsaved wives. Q, San Diego, Calif. — “Do churches follow the teaching of James 5:1k as far as the elders anointing the people with oil?” A. This passage calls for an in dividual, a saved person, to be in his home and ill, not by virtue of
