MANAHAWKIN, NJ — De- mand for luxury apartments at Stafford Preserve, currently under construction in Ma- nahawkin, has been strong, according to the developer,

Walters Group, with the first tenants slated to move in this summer. The new complex will feature 216 luxury apartments with an ideal location at the Jersey Shore. The first three buildings of Stafford Preserve, comprised of 36 eco-friendly units will be available for occupancy in late July. “We’ve already rented 36 units,” said Ed Walters, Jr., founder and partner. “We only have a couple units available in the first three buildings.” When completed, the com- munity will consist of 18 three- story buildings. Inside the community, one- and two-bed- room garden-style apartments, some with lofts, will range in size from 933 to 1,333 square feet. Floor plans feature styl- ish island kitchens, hardwood floors, and master suites with walk-in closets. Each spacious apartment will also include a washer and dryer, fully- equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, window coverings and ceiling fans in the master bedroom. Stafford Preserve is designed to meet both Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and Energy Star certifications, which creates a healthier liv- ing environment for residents. In addition, highly efficient Energy Star heating and cool- ing systems, sealed ductwork, enhanced insulation and pro- grammable thermostats lessen energy consumption, reducing costs. As a result, the apart- ments will be more energy efficient, saving residents up to 34%-44% on their annual energy costs. Stafford Preserve is situated in a 28-acre wooded environ- ment.
