Creating an atmosphere
The headboard is a piece of furniture with various uses. It allows for the inclusion of integrated lighting, with light-emitting diode (LED) technology now opening up a broad range of possibilities. Low- voltage LEDs give off very little heat and are extremely robust, making them very safe, and can be used to create coloured light. Bright, directional LEDs are used in reading lights, while LEDs installed toge- ther with a dimmer switch provide softer, gentler light and can even be coloured.
