A) STANDARDS OF PRACTICE

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

The practice of massage therapy is the assessment of the soft tissues and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of these soft tissues and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain.

WHAT ARE STANDARDS OF PRACTICE?

All registered members belonging to The International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists adhere to a stringent set of Professional Standards of Practice. These standards help to ensure that competent, consistent and professional services are delivered to the equine community at all times. The Standards of Practice for Equine Massage Therapists have been developed by the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists.

The Standards of Practice form a live and dynamic document which will evolve as changes in the practice evolve.
