Advertising must contain the Equine Massage Therapist's name and title. Optional information which may be included: • Name of business • Address and/or location of business • Services provided: massage therapy, a specialty of massage, farm visits, institutional visits, accessibility, "by appointment only", veterinarian’s referrals accepted, hours of business
SEXUAL ETHICS (IFREMT practices based on the CMTO, By-Law No. 11)
Policy
The therapist will respect the integrity of each person and, therefore, not engage in any sexual conduct or sexual activities involving clients (owner/agent/trainer, etc). Regardless of the behaviour of the client, it is always the responsibility of the Equine Massage Therapist not to engage in sexual behaviour.
Practices
The therapist will not commit any form of sexual impropriety with a client. Sexual impropriety includes:
• Any behaviour, gestures or expressions that are seductive or sexually demeaning to a client
• Inappropriate comments about or to the client, including but not limited to: • sexual comments about a client's body • making sexualized or sexually demeaning comments to a client • criticism of the client's sexual orientation • discussions of potential sexual performance • conversations regarding the sexual preferences or fantasies of the client or the massage therapist • requests to date • kissing of a sexual nature
