MISCELLANEOUS (IFREMT practices based on RHPA/MTA Part VIII S. 26, S.S 41 - 49)

• Contravening any part of the Code of Ethics or Standards of Practice as dictated by the IFREMT • Contravening any federal, provincial, territorial law, municipal bylaw • Any conduct/performance of an act which may be regarded as disgraceful, dishonourable, or unprofessional • Treating/attempting to treat a condition which the member OUGHT to recognize as BEYOND THE SCOPE OF PRACTICE • Failure to refer out when a condition requires veterinary examination • You must inform the Federation if you practice under a Practice Name include number and names of persons working in the practice (if they provide client care), certificate number if they are an REMT • You must inform the Federation within 30 days if there are any information changes • Practice name must be reasonable, referable to, describes the location or is approved by the Federation

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Any activity/practices which violate the Standards of Practice, Philosophy of Care, or Code of ethics (as so determined by the IFREMT).

PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE

All practising REMTs must maintain professional liability insurance. There are some insurers who will provide equine massage coverage, such as Intercity Insurance or Henry Equestrian Plan (Canada)
