Best Moments of Transitional Housing O ver 4,000 families – 6,230 children – are experiencing homelessness in LA County; and in Door of Hope’s service area the number of unhoused families increased by 22% last year. For those already experiencing homelessness, our Transitional Housing Program shelters 38 families at a time across four shelters – including mothers, fathers, domestic violence survivors, and their children. We empower families to move towards healing and self-sufficiency through case management, life skills classes, job and career counseling, therapy, and Christian spiritual care.
