Outdoor Resorts has been blessed to have its own nondenominational Chapel Community with a long history and presence since the property was created. Chapel started in 1986 under a resort sanctioned Charter and board with Bill Gwinn as a resident Chaplin. Bill was here for 18 years until his retirement when his nephew Jim Gwinn took over 19 years ago. They have both served us very well and now we face Jim ’ s retirement and a new path for our Chapel. Jim is known by many and often times make hospital and home visits for those in need. We have enjoyed attendance of up to 400 ORPS residents with attendance dropping during Covid and now on the rise again. We invite all to attend as we are nondenominational. Weekly Speakers and performers have come from all over the US and many are well known and respected leaders. Our services are each Sunday from 8:50 to 10:00AM in the LP Clubhouse followed by refreshments, donuts and fellowship. ORPS Chapel has supported this community in the past with purchase of a piano, sound system improvements, 200 chairs and free concerts. Later this season we have a free concert scheduled at ES or on the golf course. Please plan to attend and enjoy. As with any organization we have many volunteers and are always in need of more. If interested please inquire with one of our Board members. • Allen Gayken, President • Jerel Forsberg, Vice President • Herb Nyquist, Treasurer • Marie Boothman • Erv Klassen • Frank Thiessen Allen Gayken — Chapel President
