• Residents who can should transport themselves and others to the first aid treatment area for assistance with any medical needs. • Contact the ORPS Command Post for info and any other needs. How to call 911 at ORPS Give the address of the resort - 69411 Ramon Rd and ALWAYS USE a lot number. Your responders don ’ t know all the landmarks, like “ Back Nine Hole 6 Tee Box ”, but they for sure know every lot number. So add “ lot 1092” as you report this event to 911. Just find the closest lot number you can and you ’ ll be good.
Fire Department Speaks! In an interesting lecture presented at La Palma last month, ORPS residents heard from an expert in Emergency Preparedness. Paramedic/Engineer Chris Dietz presented a twelve step personal plan we could all follow, and maybe be just a little more prepared for “ The Big One ”.

In summary: •
Make a plan to manage the immediate hazards on your lot - know your power and propane shutoffs, and generator operations. • Determine a pre - arranged meeting place if your family is separated. • Think about an evacuation route, in the unlikely event it is safer outside the resort. • Keep enough fuel in vehicles to evacuate ORPS if required. • Keep full fresh water in your freshwater tanks. Disinfect it at least annually. • Maintain a dedicated and easily accessible emergency kit in your RV.. • Pack extra flashlights, batteries, chargers, a portable radio, duct tape, and even matches and candles in your emergency kit. • Keep on hand higher levels of food, meds, and pet food so you have about a seven day supply. • Have cash on hand - in ones and fives - in case the banking system is down. • Think about warm clothing and blankets - can you keep warm without power? • Local radio stations are: AM 920 1010 1140 FM 104.7 106.1 96.7 They will have the best local information. • Choose one out of state contact who can collect information on each member of your family, because sometimes out of state phone lines work best. • Use texting if phone calls don ’ t work; it uses much less bandwidth than voice or video calls. • Check your first aid supplies - add more if your supply is weak. • Check on the safety of ten (10) closest neighbors. Likewise, neighbors will do the same. • ORPS will have incident command and first aid
