Sept. 15: Fiesta de Independencia 2024 Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month, head to Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa, to kick off the celebration. Organized by the center’s Latino Advisory Council, the festival is free and family friendly. Headline shows will be announced closer to the date. The festival runs from 1 to 7 p.m. Attendees can also look forward to performances from Mariachi Cantares de mi Tierra, Ballet Folklorico Ireri of Petaluma and more. There will also be carnival games, face painting, a jumpy house and pinatas for the little ones to enjoy. For more information visit lutherburbankcenter.org.

April 14 – Sept. 8: Culinary Tour: The Mighty Tortilla Have you ever wanted to make your very own tortillas? Keller Estate Winery, 5875 Lakeville Highway in Petaluma, is offering a course in the art of making homemade tortillas. Using masa, a dough made from ground corn, participants will shape and cook tortillas. Afterward, attendees will enjoy a three-course lunch paired with Keller Estate Wines. Tickets are $125 per person. There are multiple dates and times for this event, for more information visit kellerestate.com.

Sept. 20: Petaluma Pumpkin Patch and Amazing Corn Maze With fall in full swing, head to the Petaluma Pumpkin Patch starting on Sept. 20 to take your pick from over 5 acres of home- grown pumpkins. Located at 450 Stony Point Road, visitors can browse over 50 varieties of pumpkins, gourds and squash. While there, check out the corn maze, farm animals, pony rides, face painting, bounce houses and more! And if you’re feeling a bit peckish while shopping around, there will be food vendors on site. The pumpkin patch hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. For more information visit petalumapumpkinpatch.com.

Sept. 7: Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival The Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club of Petaluma Valley are partnering to host the Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival on Sept. 7. From 1 to 5 p.m. hop on over to Water Street in Petaluma and sip on some of the best brews in the North Bay. The proceeds from this event will go toward supporting nonprofit initiatives. Designated drivers can purchase tickets for $25 and early bird tickets are currently $55, for more information visit mynorthbaytickets.com.
