SR Homes - October 2025

Nothing is more rewarding than helping a loved one find a place they can comfortably call home. We love building communities for families and individuals to plant their roots and thrive. Over the years, many homeowners have been referred to us by their friends, family members, and neighbors. If you know someone ready to take the next step toward their dream home, connect them to us through the Give Back Referral Program. Your efforts help us create happy neighborhoods and allow us to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Together, we can build a better future, one home at a time. Make a Referral, Make a Difference FIND WAYS TO BLOCK THE WIND. The cold temperature is just one obstacle to enjoying your patio or deck during the fall and winter. You also have to offset the wind. If you don’t, you’ll shiver as the wind blows through you. One of the best ways to block the wind without creating an eyesore is to use winter-hardy plants. They’ll act as a natural fence, blocking out the breeze. If your patio is covered, you can buy screens or curtains to divert wind away effectively. ADD ADDITIONAL LIGHTING. As we approach the end of the year, we’ll experience much less daylight. Some days, the sun will have already set before we leave work! You have to add some solid lighting if you want to continue using your outdoor space year-round. Look into string lights, wall lights, hanging lanterns, post lights, and rope lights. Go with the type that best fits the vibe you’re trying to create! Patio Season Isn’t Over Yet Here’s How to Make It Last Even Longer

Many of us spend as much time outside as possible in spring and summer. We participate in our favorite outdoor activities, walk around the neighborhood, and enjoy the warm weather in our backyards. As we progress through fall, colder temperatures send us indoors for months. Wouldn’t it be nice just to squeeze a little more outdoor time before the frigid temperatures give us no choice but to head inside? Through the right purchases, design features, and proper planning, you can extend your patio season.

Here are a few strategies to ensure you can enjoy your patio or deck comfortably as the temperature drops.

We are so happy to have this company look after our property. Highly recommended!” –JOANNE M. “Great services, very affordable, and honest.” –SORAYA R. INVEST IN A HEATING ELEMENT. You’ll have to offset the cold if you want to enjoy your patio comfortably in the late fall and into winter. The best way to do this is through a heating element. Which one you choose depends on how you use your patio. If you’re just sitting alone or with your spouse, you could get away with a small dish or tabletop heater. Those who want to entertain should invest in something slightly larger, like a firepit or floor-standing heater. Do your research before purchasing; not all heaters are created equal.
