Types: Filled Filled Dipped Pressed Dipped Key terms: • Caramelised: Sugar is heated until golden brown, then the nuts are coated in the sugar mixture. • Candied: Sugar is melted but not allowed to go brown; the fruit peels are then glazed with the sugar mixture. • Honey glazed: The pistachio nuts are glazed in honey to glue the chopped pieces together to create a delicious crunch. • Roasted: The almonds are roasted to remove the outer peel and leave the outside soft and smooth.
