Create Handmade Greeting Cards Embark on an exhilarating new visual art journey. Learn basic color drawing and painting techniques while creating personal greeting cards for friends and family (holiday, birthday and special occasions). Through demonstrations and instruction, paint a variety of subjects, such as animals, flowers, still life, and more. Students will work at their own pace to complete approximately three to five cards by the end of the course. Class is suitable for all levels and students may choose their media (paint, markers, colored pencils, mix media, paper, scissors, and glue). Materials list will be sent to registered students prior to class. Learn how to upcycle, memorialize, and transform them into fantastic 3D pop-forward cards. The finished mementos are perfect for showing off on display stands or in shadow boxes. Sculpting with Air Dry Clay Explore air dry clay, a magical medium and create beautiful plates, pretty planters, cups, bowls, jewelry holders, and figurines. Full of sensory exploration, shaping this versatile medium is super fun. Air dry clay is a wonderful vessel for some of the most playful ideas and, once dried, can be painted. The gratification is immediate and the prints are very cool. No previous art experience is required. See website for materials list. BARBARA ABRAM is a lifelong artist with a BFA from Parsons School of Design. She works in pastels, oils, watercolor, and gelli art, producing mostly figurative art.
