Joel Aptaker and Andrew Daily are returning to assist Glenn in the ProShop. 2021 was the second golf season under the World Handicap System (WHS), and new features were added to the GHIN Mobile App including GPS and course maps (note: locker room kiosks for posting scores are no longer available). Posting of scores at ACC begins on April 15 and ends on October 31. The ProShop is available to assist with questions about the WHS and the GHIN App. A few notes of interest about golf at ACC in 2021. Despite the 8.96 inches of rain in July 2021 (Avg= 4.55”; third wettest July since 1826; tenth wettest month ever in Albany), members played 13094 rounds in 2021. ACC members cited for top number of posted rounds on the region’s 2021 New York State Golf Association list included Patti Rowlands (ranked 2 for women’s all rounds, 188; ranked 8 for women’s 18 Hole rounds, 137); Claire Sellitti (ranked 10 for women’s 9 Hole rounds, 74) and Tim Esmay (ranked 6 for junior’s all rounds, 97). In closing, thank-you to Kevin Bergeron, Joe Parrottino and Bill Young for their much appreciated time and effort on the Golf Committee for the past two years. A special note of thanks to Robert Murphy for his years at the helm of the ROBs. The 2022 Golf Committee welcomes Jim Bettini and Matt Stefanik; Jim will also head the ROBs. All the best for the 2022 season!
