THANK YOU
As an Endurance rider for many years, I suffered horrendous sunburn and subsequent skin damage, due to not wearing any sun protection or sunscreen. After many years this really took its toll on my skin, and I urgently needed to do something about it! I had over 30 years of industrial sewing experience and own industrial machines, so the obvious next step was to design my own sun protection for horse riding helmets, for riders of all disciplines. 10 years ago I designed and developed the Helmet Brim which today is sold to riders all over Australia and the world. The bicycle Helmet Brim has just been launched! I'm always coming up with new ways to solve common problems, which is why I offer you the best way to splice a rope, to ensure a better horse riding experience!
I'm a country girl through and through and I'm proud of it!
Thank You Julie Dixon

What is an Eye-Splice Used For?
The eye splice is used to place a permanent loop in the end of a rope, generally for attachment purposes to a fixed point. An eye is also used to form the rope around a thimble, which is used to protect the rope, especially when it is to be attached to a shackle, chain, or wire rope.

Why Do People Splice Rope?
Splices can be used to form a stopper at the end of a line, to form a loop or an eye in a rope, or for joining two ropes together. Splices are preferred to knotted rope, since while a knot typically reduces the strength by 20–40%, a splice is capable of attaining a rope's full strength.
