Dear Cattlemen, Neighbors & Friends, Welcome to our 4th Annual Bull and Female Sale. It is an exciting time to be in the cattle business and the Red Angus breed, and we are grateful for everyone that has expressed interest in our program. We are very proud of our sale offering and feel the genetics and phenotypes of our cattle speak for themselves. We have built our program around a select group of genetics from some of the most well established and suc - cessful programs in the breed. With these base genetics we have gone into a very intensive ET and AI program to mass produce the kind that we like and know will work for our customers. Our main goal in all of this is to build a cow herd of very maternal females that can produce progeny with growth and carcass merit. Our experience milking 1000+ head of dairy cows has made us very aware of the importance of feet, legs, and udders, and has had a very positive effect on how we select and cull for structural soundness. We were truly humbled by the outcome of our previous three production sales, as well as being selected as the 2024 RAAA Breeder of the Year. Our commitment to this industry and desire to bring you the same quality genetics, only in more quantity, has been a goal. We are continuing to produce more bulls, better bulls, for less. This year we selected 125 bulls from well over 200 head of male calves to go on the sale and the majority of them are ET calves out of our top cow families. We are also offering some of our best registered heifers again this year - and back by popular demand, we are offering a group of our best commercial heifers selected right from the top... this is a pretty special set of females! As all of you know, this lifestyle is a family effort and requires sacrifice and input from everyone. While I spend most of my time outdoors with the cattle, my wife, Becky, handles all the bookkeeping and the kids’ busy schedules. Our oldest Jaylee (16) enjoys riding horses and showing cattle, all while managing volleyball, track, cheerleading, and once again she and her gymnastics team won the State Championship for the fourth year in a row! Jaedyn (10) is responsible for all the pet chores and she showed for the first time this summer, winning Champion Breeding Gilt at the county fair. Jamison (6) started kindergarten this year and he and Jocelyn (4) still enjoy riding around with dad, whether that’s in the chopper, feed wagon, payloader or pickup – learning all the ropes to be his future partners. Jaxson would have turned 14 this past year – he is forever loved and missed. My mother, KIm, lives on the farm and still helps where she can. Our extended family... we couldn’t get it all done without them.
Mike Duenwald... he is our resident mechanic and when he is not managing the chopping crew, he is our master pit boss on the barbecue... as is evident by the great food at our sale!
Jose Alonso... our animal husbandry specialist. He is an irreplaceable asset on the farm, managing the calving barn and making sure all the many moving parts on the farm are working.
Dennis Pedersen... our right hand man, he worked for my grandfather, my father and now me. He has been a lifelong friend.
Lizbeth Landin... she is now in her second year of helping during the calving season.
Tobias Hernandez... when he is not riding a buffalo, he is busy making sure everything gets fed around the farm.
Roger Krein... our neighbor that farms and runs cows and loves the Reds. He and his son, Nathan, help with what ever needs to be done and are invaluable to have so close.
Trevor Gallaher... he helps pick up the slack around the farm doing the odd jobs. He will deliver many of the bulls this spring.

This index is a combination of the breeding objectives modeled in the HerdBuilder and GridMaster selection indexes. HerdBuilder is a maternal selection index that predicts the economic differences of animals for traits that are important from conception through weaning. - Every spring we go on the hunt for some new and exciting sire to plug into the program, and when we laid eyes on 44 Faithfull 2764 at Western Sires in NE, we though he would be a great match for our leading donor, Abigrace 0018. The next generation of red calves that hit the ground out of these two brothers is going to be wild! - Faithfull 5149 might be a tick behind his brother in stature and performance, but the DNA indicates that he is every bit as good or maybe even better. Righteous... his amazing data, power, stature and type is justifiable!
- Righteous 5155 is one of the most powerful bulls we have ever seen in this breed! He boasted our #1 Weaning weight and #1 Yearling weight, and his 7.59 IMF is only second to Wake Up 5150 featured as Lot 1. - One thing is definite... we want to plug this dude back into our program! Absolutely 5008 has been on our radar all summer, fall and winter long, and now that all the data is in, we are excited about carrying on this outcross pedigree with him. HIs 6.82 IMF is off the charts, but more impressively, he combines it with a huge 17.0 REA and 1.40 REA/CWT. - His dam, Abigrace 2024, has been on Austin’s ‘Favorite List’ since the day she was born, and her oustanding producing ability has only made him love her more. In her debut last year, she had five sons sell, including a pair of herdbulls by Mechanic, Fixher 4062 and Massive 4052, that sold to Gene Brown in ND for $29,000 and $18,000 respectively. Her natural Jumpstart son sold to Wasem’s in ND
