Vehicle Driving

Cruise Control

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

Overview of the system

CAUTION

The driving assistance system mainly relies on radar and cameras to perceive the vehicle's surrounding environment in real time. In order to protect the radio astronomy services operating in the same frequency band, vehicles equipped with radars shall not enter the interference protection distance of local relevant radio astronomy observatories: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) detects the vehicle front bumper, allowing the vehicle to travel at the set speed. When a moving vehicle with a speed lower than the set speed appears in front, the system automatically maintains the distance from the vehicle in front and stops/starts following the vehicle in front.

Please read carefully and be aware of all information of this section before use ACC.

DANGER

Due to the complexity of driving environments such as real - time traffic, roads, and weather, the cruise system cannot ensure correct detection under all conditions. Please turn off ACC function and drive carefully in harsh environment. ACC can’t drive on behalf of the driver. You must keep control of the vehicle, drive carefully, abide by the speed limit and other traffic rules, and take full responsibility for driving the vehicle. ACC only works for vehicles traveling in the same direction in front of the lane. It does not work for oncoming/crossing/stationary/slow - moving vehicles, pedestrians, animals and other objects on the road (such as cones, plastic barriers, guardrails, stones, etc.). ACC is suitable for use on highways or roads with good road conditions. Do not use ACC under the following road and environmental conditions (not limited to): • Environments that strongly reflect radar signals (such as multi - storey parking lots, tunnels, substations, steel frame bridges, etc.), scenarios with drastic changes in light (such as backlight in front, glare, entering and exiting tunnels, etc.), and scenarios with poor lighting conditions (such as at night, on cloudy days, etc.).

• Urban roads, mountain roads, on and off ramps.

• Extreme weather (such as fog/rain/snow/hail, etc.), slippery roads, roads with steep slopes or sharp bends.

CAUTION

When ACC works, it may make braking sound, and when ACC controls vehicle deceleration, the brake pedal will become hard (but you can still control vehicle deceleration by pressing the brake pedal), which are all normal phenomena.
