Maintenance and Self - service

• Drive slowly on gravel roads to avoid stones splashing and damaging the paint surface. • Avoid exposing the vehicle to the sun for a long time. It is recommended to use a vehicle cover for protection when parking outdoors for a long time. • Avoid contact with volatile substances such as gaslion and engine oil. If there is a small amount of contact, wipe it immediately with a special cleaning cloth. • Regular waxing helps protect body paint, and it is recommended to apply a high - quality hard wax at least twice a year. After washing the vehicle, when there are no obvious water droplets on the surface of body, you can apply a high - quality wax solution. • When the vehicle paint loses its luster, it can be polished (the polishing agent must contain wax) to restore the gloss of the vehicle paint. If the paint layer on the vehicle surface is scratched, please clean and dry the damaged surface, sand it with 1500# sandpaper, and then polish it with a wool ball. If it still cannot be repaired, please go to a Changan Automobile authorized dealer for repair.

Maintenance of Body Accessories

It is recommended to lubricate the door and window seals at least once a year. Use a clean rag to apply silicone oil (Krupp MR3 - 500 is recommended) to the rubber seals to make them more durable, seal better, and avoid sticking or squeaking. When storing for a long time, spray silicone lubricant on all door and trunk seals, and apply body wax on the painted surface where the sealing strips meet to prevent sticking.

Regularly lubricate door hinges and stops, locks, cylinder cover hinges and locks.

Automobile anti - corrosion

Causes of Vehicle Corrosion

The main causes of automobile corrosion are:

• Salt, dirt, moisture and chemicals accumulate over time in hard - to - reach areas of your vehicle's chassis, body or frame. • Accidents causing peeling of paint, scratches or other damage, abrasions from rocks and gravel, etc. • High humidity increases the rate of corrosion. If a part of the vehicle is exposed to high humidity for a long time, it will cause corrosion even if other parts of the vehicle are dry. In high humidity, if a part of the vehicle is not well ventilated and cannot dry quickly, it will also experience accelerated corrosion.

Effective Prevention of Vehicle Corrosion

Always keep your vehicle clean and dry.

When maintaining the entire vehicle, check and clean the drain holes of doors and the bottom of the body with warm or cold water. The drain holes must be kept ventilated. If the paint on the car's surface is damaged or peeling, repair the damaged area immediately and do not leave the metal exposed to the air. Check the interior of your vehicle regularly to make sure it is clean and dry. Moisture, dust, and sand inside the vehicle, for example, under the mats, may accelerate corrosion.
