Belt force limiting function
The front seatbelt retractor has a force limiting function.
When a frontal collision of sufficient intensity occurs in front of the vehicle, the tension on the chest webbing exceeds the set value, and the retractor releases a certain length of the webbing to reduce the squeezing damage to the occupant's chest.
Safety belt pretensioners
The front seat belt is equipped with a pre - tensioning device, which will work even if there is no person sitting in the front seat. In case of head - on collision with enough strength, the pre - tensioner will be triggered, and the seat belt braid will be withdrawn automatically. Make sure that the seat belt secures the front passenger’s body, providing the maximum protection. When the safety belt pretensioner is working, it may make a loud sound and produce smoke and dust, which is a normal operating state and has no poisoning effect. Any maintenance or inspection of the pretensioner must be performed by a Changan Automobile authorized dealer. It is strictly forbidden to refit or remove airbag system, or to knock the airbag controller and sensor, or to damage the control circuit of airbag; otherwise, sudden functioning or malfunction of the pre - tensioner will be caused.
