SUMMARY

OBJECTIVE 3: TEACHING EXCELLENCE AND CURRICULA CONTINUE TO ENGAGE WITH OTHER EDUCATORS, INTERNALLY, EXTERNALLY, LOCALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY, TO IDENTIFY AND ADOPT THE BEST TEACHING PRACTICES TO ENSURE THAT A SUITE OF INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMES IS DEVELOPED FOR THE FUTURE. The aim of this objective is to identify opportunities to develop programmes of study and experiential learning and ensure that best practices are embedded in our teaching.

OBJECTIVE 4: REPUTATION AND GLOBAL OUTREACH CONTINUE THE STRONG INTERNATIONAL REPUTATION FOR PRODUCING EXCELLENT GRADUATES IN THE AREAS OF MEDICINE, HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE, AND LIFE SCIENCE AND EXPAND OUR EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONALS. The aim of this objective is to develop strategic collaborative partnerships and relationships of reciprocal benefits to Swansea on a national and international scale enhancing our global reputation.

This strategy sets the direction of and ambition for the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science. We will continue to be recognised as a world-leading centre of excellence in both research and education, delivering improvements in health, wellbeing and wealth for Wales and the world. To deliver this strategy, we will develop a series of implementation plans focused on Research and Innovation and Learning and Teaching. Our rich and diverse team of staff from across the Faculty, in partnership with our students, stakeholders and collaborators, will enable delivery of these plans.

Through outstanding research and teaching across our three schools, we will continue to deliver excellence on both a domestic and global stage. At the same time, we will maintain a focus on the health, wellbeing and ongoing development of our staff and student communities.
