Our ambitions are global, national and regional and progress towards our vision will be guided by the need to establish Swansea University’s Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science as: A world-leading Faculty with Schools of Medicine, Psychology and Health and Social Care: We will spearhead outstanding innovation in research and teaching across all disciplines, whilst delivering exceptional results on both a domestic and global stage. A positive force for all, students and staff alike: We will focus on health and wellbeing, nurturing an enviable study, sport and working climate, demonstrating excellence in development opportunities for all and enriching lives and benefitting society to build for the future. A sector-leading centre for strategic and economic development: We will further expand our collaboration activity, both nationally and internationally, whilst strengthening links with the NHS, global industry and other partners. BOLSTERED BY A RANGE OF CROSS- CUTTING THEMES AND ENABLING STRATEGIES, THESE AMBITIONS WILL BE DELIVERED THROUGH TWO CORE ACTIVITIES OF:
VISION The Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science is research-led with strong health, social care, industry, civic and international links. We deliver outstanding learning and teaching alongside world-leading research and innovation to positively impact peoples’ lives.
MISSION Our mission is to be consistently rated as a leading UK provider of health professional and life sciences education, underpinned by an international reputation for excellent research and innovation. Through an interdisciplinary and interprofessional approach, we will deliver real improvements in health, wellbeing and wealth for Wales and the world.
