Ivy is a fabulous mare and has stepped up to everything we have thrown at her. She joined our family Nov. 2019 very lightly started. Since then, we have had so many adventures! Listing her has been a very hard choice but we have young ones coming up that need the ride time. Ivy and I have logged 1,300 miles on the trail. The last two years we have rode 500 miles annually

on the trails together. She has been on many, many overnight camping trips to multiple MN & ND State Parks, State Forests, Medora and two-day events. Ivy has overnight tied on high ties, in port-a-pens, and stalls. This mare will go anywhere you point her. Crosses water, climbed and descend steep buttes, rides through deep washes, has seen lots of wildlife on the trails including bison, elk, wild horses and isn’t phased. She is a great traveler. Ivy trailers beautifully and eats and drinks on the road. The last two summers I have used her for my main riding horse for our weekly saddle club fun shows all summer long where we compete in WSCA classes. Both years we ended up in the year-end placings, this year winning Senior overall. I have also used Ivy for team sorting, obstacle challenge clinic, and rode her in parades. Rides in a bit or hack. Great for the farrier and veterinarian. UTD on Coggins & Vaccinations. Dental spring ’22. She does have scarring on her right front cornet and hoof from being caught in a fence long before she joined our family. Currently barefoot as my preference is to use hoof boots for rough terrain and rocky trails. Her boots can go with her. Maintenance is keeping her on a consistent farrier schedule. Ride her now and breed her later. H. Westby
