Coolant
Check whether the coolant level in the water receiver of the vehicle’s cooling system is kept between the MIN (minimum value) line and the MAX (maximum value) line. If the level is below the MIN line, it is recommended to visit a Changan Automobile authorized dealer for inspection and have the coolant topped up to the MAX line. When refilling the coolant, the vehicle must be left to cool down to avoid coolant splashing and burns.
CAUTION
When adding coolant, please use Changan Automobile's special coolant with a freezing point of - 40°C (mixing is prohibited). Do not use hard water or water with impurities such as tap water, river water, well water, or mineral water as coolant. If coolant accidentally splashes into your eyes, please rinse immediately with plenty of water. If the condition is serious, please seek medical attention immediately.
Liquid level check
1. Open the hood;
2. Remove the hood trim;
3. Observe the liquid level in the water tank with your line of sight level with the liquid surface in the water tank. If the liquid level is lower than the MIN line, add coolant.
Brake fluid
Brake wear will cause brake fluid level to slowly drop. Brake fluid level should be checked regularly to ensure that it is between the MAX (maximum) and MIN (minimum) marks.
