ENA Partner BGB To Increase Aftermarket Solutions

ENA were repairing slip rings as a service offering, but due to parts availability and minimal testing, their capabilities were limited, and were not able to fully support their customers. Many units were returned unrepaired and their customers had to purchase new products from the OEM.

The Problem

“ We wanted to provide our customers with a solution and option to purchase new or refurbished units and also have their units repaired.

We wanted to offer a replacement or new unit to our customers that ship in slip rings for repair. We have repaired many in the past but sometimes they are damaged beyond our capabilities and offering a replacement was a good option for our customers.” Mike Blangiewicz - Director of Global Sales at ENA Electronics.

BGB offered ENA distributor pricing and a wealth of support which allowed them to offer their customers a solution at a competitive rate.

Customers are happy the units are low maintenance and expected to last longer than the OEM product. Their technicians do not need to maintain the units and can focus on other maintenance issues. ENA has been able to focus technicians on other projects so they do not have to develop a new procedure for slip rings. “ Our technicians do not need to spend time sourcing parts, repairing units and developing test procedures. BGB is a great partner for ENA as they allow us to sell a new product and support our customers with the repair and supply of slip rings. This allows us to further develop relationships with wind farms and support the industry to a higher level .”

The Future
