the tabernacle in the wilderness with pointed observations and illustrative anecdotes. He has made an extensive study of the subject and now travels with a life-size model of the taber nacle conducting evangelistic meet ings and Bible conferences. 120 pages; cloth; Zondervan Publishing House, Grand Gapids; $1.50. Named by Billy Graham’s office as the official report of the New York Crusade, God in the Garden is the first full-length religious book by The American Weekly’s Curtis Mitchell. Mitchell, a close observer of the work of the Graham team since 1952, not only presents facts and figures in connection with Graham’s biggest meeting, but includes back-stage an ecdotes and human interest material which vividly depict the drama of conversion in the lives of the rich and poor, the famed and ignoble. This volume features 16 pages of pictures of Crusade meetings in Madi- j son Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, j Times Square, etc., as well as pictures . of Graham and other Crusade person alities. 250 pages; cloth; Doubleday | & Co., New York; $2.50. Reviewed by Norman B. Rohrer. For the size of the book, Job is neglected more than any other por tion of Scripture in preaching and private reading. It has difficulties, but also rich rewards. Dr. Chappell, for many years a Methodist minister, has achieved a wide reputation for his books on preaching. These 15 textual sermons will open up great portions of the Book of Job, although some theological implications will not be shared by all the readers. Rich truths in chapters 38-40, where some believe the real issue is joined and the climax comes, is passed over en tirely. . 158 pages; cloth; Abingdon Press, Nashville, Term.; $2.00. The T rin ity By Edward Henry Beckersteth This book was originally published under the title The Rock of Ages. The present title is more truly descriptive of the contents than the former. With profuse scriptural references in the margin the pages unfold the essential deity of the Son and the Spirit and urge a commitment to Christ, which alone can bring assurance and spir itual life. While the style is a little stuffy for the modem reader, the argu ments are sound and satisfying. 182 pages; cloth; Kregel Publications, Grand Rapids; $2.50. END.
