Description
Tell Me a Story is a Mid-Continent Public Library initiative that provides the ability to record and preserve memories, stories, and living history. In this activity, Girls will use their own family history as inspiration as they complete steps in the Storytelling badges by checking out a kit using their MCPL Access Pass that MGC. Once processed each girl will receive a CD of their story. Girls will explore their family traditions, develop a story tree, and create a family crest while completing the five steps to earn their My Family Story badge. Through hands-on activities, storytelling, and more, Girls are guaranteed to have a great time.
Visit the Sabatini art gallery and complete several steps of the Book Artist badge with artist Betsy Roe while making your own one-page book structure. Girls will learn about bookmaking materials, book structures, and artists from around the globe.
