Girls will use their creativity to create a dance routine as unique as them, as they learn new dance steps and warm-up techniques. Length : 2 hours. To book your troop’s activity, email lacey.connell@jocogov.org. In this creative workshop, Girls will learn about different types of book-binding techniques and tools as they create their very own one-of-a-kind book. Length : 2 hours. To book your troop’s activity, email ryan.bell2@jocogov.org. In this creative workshop, Girls explore different types of jewelry-making techniques and tools, while learning how to create their very own pieces. Length : 2 hours. To book your troop’s activity, email ryan.bell2@jocogov.org. Girls will explore art and design from a pottery perspective while creating two ceramic works of art. All pottery will be kiln fired and ready for pick-up 1-2 weeks post- program completion. Length : 2 hours. To book your troop’s activity, email ryan.bell2@jocogov.org. Girls will explore different drawing techniques and tools while creating their own unique drawings. Length : 2 hours. To book your troop’s activity, email ryan.bell2@jocogov.org. Students get a taste of what life was like for children attending a one-room school in 1904. In this fully immersive program, kids are encouraged to dress up. This 2-hour program can be adapted to mixed-age groups K-6th grade. $80 per group Length : 2 hours.

Girls will meet with museum staff and learn why items are collected, how those items are collected, and the importance of those items to the community, while exploring the new exhibit, Becoming Johnson County . Expand your visit to the Lanesfield Historic Site to learn about farm life and chores and complete an actual one-room schoolhouse lesson from 1904. Girl Scout cost is $5. Cost per adult: Free for up to two supervising adults, $5 for additional adults. This program will need to be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.
