Girls will help sort and repackage donated products in Harvesters Volunteer Engagement Center to be redistributed to families in need. *Volunteers must be 8 years or older. Groups must meet the chaperone requirements. Girls will help collect donations and package Healthy Family Meal Kits for families in need. Meal kits include all the necessary ingredients for an easy and completely nutritious meal. This two- part activity requires Girls to collect donations to purchase the kits items and then package the kits with all the ingredients and recipe card. Girls will get engaged, educated, and empowered to help fight hunger in their community and earn their Fight Hunger Patch! Girl Scouts will prepare hand-tied fleece blankets for patients as holiday gifts. We will send patterns for three different sizes, and Troops may choose which one(s) they want to make. We ask that the Troops source materials for this project. The cutoff date for participating in this project is November 1, 2024. Girl Scout Troops will design handmade Valentines for patients and preschool students and deliver to Ability KC by Friday, February 9, 2024 . We ask that the Troops source materials for this project. Please confirm participation in this opportunity by January 12, 2024. Contact Ashley Hurtado to notify her that your Troop will be participating and confirm your drop off date. Valentines are needed by February 9, 2024.
