Wayside Waifs 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, MO 64137 | Virtual Experience Wayside Waifs is the largest pet adoption campus in Kansas City, placing over 5,400 animals each year in loving forever homes, and offers a variety of free workshops and services projects for troops. QQQ It takes a village! Learn what it means to be a community and the different supporting roles that are needed to keep a community strong. Girls will participate in a cooperative game and a "thank you" activity, tour the new exhibit, and play at KidScape. Length : 1.5 hours

Tour the facilities and help an animal in need. Girls will get a behind-the-scenes tour of our facilities while providing 1 hour of community service. The community service project will involve a non- contact animal project that will directly affect the quality of life and well-being of animals at our facility.

Kids in Action

Create the city of your dreams! Girls will watch the story of Johnson County and then will work together to build their own city from selecting a mayor to planning infrastructure like roads, buildings, and landscapes. The program includes a tour of the museum exhibit and exploration of KidScape.
