Wayside Waifs 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, MO 64137 Virtual Experience Wayside Waifs is the largest pet adoption campus in Kansas City, placing over 5,400 animals each year in loving forever homes, and offers a variety of free workshops and services projects for troops. Girls will tour the brand-new exhibit, Becoming Johnson County, featuring interactive activities, a scavenger hunt, and a kid-sized historical community - KidScape. Length : 1 hour. To register for this program , call 913- 826-2787. Girls will use their observational and critical thinking skills to evaluate a mysterious object from the past to help crack the case. This program includes a tour of the museum exhibit and exploration of KidScape. Length : 1.5 hours. Do you have what it takes to solve the mystery of the missing school marm? Girls will learn about local history as they uncover clues to solve the mystery - but they'll need to hurry to beat the clock! Schedule your escape at least 1 week in advance, Monday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or Friday-Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Length : 1 hour.

Understanding dog communication through body language and dog body language. Girls will learn the proper way to greet a dog, when to leave a dog alone, and strategies to avoid being attacked by a dog. Take a tour of Wayside Waifs state-of-the-art campus. Girls will experience everything from animal intake and rescue to the veterinary medical center and adoption center – experiencing all that Wayside Waifs has to offer animals. Length : 1 hour.
