In this workshop, Girls will discover the world of wild animals, investigate animal habitats, create an animal house, explore endangered animal homes, and learn how to protect animal habitats. This program will include a tour of the zoo. Length : 1 hour. Girls will tour multiple different types of gardens, and learn how to select garden sites, design gardens of various types, select garden plants, and how to grow and maintain gardens. In this workshop, Girls will explore the connection between animals and humans, learn how animals have helped humans through the ages, how they help us now, and how they might help us in the future. Girls will also learn about animal heroes, how animals assist humans with disabilities, and experience the zoos animal petting zoo. Length : 2 hours. In this workshop, Girls will explore creatures of the night! From meeting live nocturnal animals to activities in the dark, this class will focus on how animals adapt and survive to life with little light to guide them. Length : 2 hours. In this workshop, Girls will explore the world of domestic animals, those used by humans for pets, food, and other uses. Girls will learn about human responsibilities toward animals in their care, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, what it’s like protecting animals, and what animal issues exist in their community. Length : 2 hours. In this workshop, Girls will explore the world of water on our earth, learn how the water cycle works, discover water issues affecting our earth and solutions to those issues. Girls will also learn about wildlife and plant life native to water and design their own water innovation. Length : 2 hour.

Animal Helper Badge Workshop

In this workshop, Girls will interact with animals from different countries while learn to identify animals and understand the importance of those animals to those parts of the world. This workshop will also teach girls about ways to care for animals and careers that work with animals. Length : 1 hour. This workshop will help girls explore the unique world of bugs while learning how they differ from other life forms, and their impact on nature and humans. The program will include some classroom presentations and lots of hands-on interactive activities. In this workshop, Girls will learn to use all their senses to explore the world. Through hands-on activities, that employ the sense of look, listen, smell, taste, and touch and feel, Girls will learn to use all of their senses while observing the world around them including the natural world. This workshop will take Girls on a journey to understand the many ways we use and enjoy water and the science of water and its importance to us, while teaching Girls ways they can commit to protecting it.
