understanding concerning the period for which two laymen, referred to in tire April number of T h e K in g ' s B u sin e ss , have paid for this magazine to be sent to 100,000 per sons throughout the world. By reference to page 302 of the April number it will be seen that it is there clearly stated that this period is for three months. We quote be low from the article on that page, headed, “Heart to Heart Talk” : “Dear reader, you have had ‘The Funda mentals’ in twelve volumes. You have written to tell how greatly you have appre ciated the privilege. You will now receive T h e K ing ' s B u sin e ss for three months, and we desire to place on your heart the re sponsibility of doing something in return to extend to others the same privilege you have enjoyed.” Elsewhere in the same number of the magazine, where this same subject was re ferred to, the words, “for a period of three months,” were inadvertently omitted. It is the earnest hope of the Bible Institute that by the time the June number of T h e K ing ' s B u sin e ss is ready for circulation, thousands of those who have received it for the three months will have sent their sub scriptions to the magazine, and induced thousands ,of their friends to do likewise. We sincerely trust that our readers will take the matter on their hearts and help to bear the great financial burden by promptly sending $1 to pay a year’s sub scription. This is not a money-making en terprise and is never intended to be. Every dollar above expenses will go into mis sionary work through the free distribution of literature. Close of the Winter Term The winter term of the Institute closed on Thursday, March 25, the examinations for the term having been held the two pre ceding weeks. The total number of stu-

A Pressing Need. n p HE great need of money to prosecute -*■ the work of the Bible Institute to its desired ends for the spread of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ should impress itself upon every reader of T h e K in g ' s B u s in e s s . With an extensive plant rep resenting a vast outlay, in order to have a proper home for so great a work, it will be necessary to constantly replenish the sustaining fund to justify the investment that has been made.- - It must be remembered that the Bible in struction imparted by the Institute is en tirely free to any sincere student of the Word. In addition to a two years’ course of instruction in study of the Bible, and all phases of individual Christian effort, the following departments are a constant source of expense and must be provided for if they are to go on doing the great work accom plished in the past. They are the Spanish Mission, Yokefel lows’ Hall, Street Work, Seaman’s Mission, Jewish Work, Bible Women’s Work, Shop Meetings, Work in the Oil Fields, Evan gelistic Work, Extension Classes, and others. Christian men and women are urged to take this matter to their hearts, and The Institute invites contributions from inter ested jpeople to aid in maintaining these de partments. Persons who prefer so to do, may contribute to the support of one or more of these, or they may contribute to the general fund, the assurance being given that the money will be appropriated as de sired by the donor.
