CASA NEEDS 37 VOLUNTEERS! A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer is a dedicated member of the community who is appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interest of an abused or neglected child in the state’s care. A CASA volunteer is an independent voice in court who advocates solely for the best interest of the child. You will be the voice making a real difference in a critical turning point in a child’s life. Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center… offers a safe place for children who are victims of abuse and their families to receive comprehensive services from dedicated professionals. These professional services are provided by forensic interviewers, therapists and advocates in a child-friendly environment through a coordinated team approach with local law enforcement, District Attorneys, CPS, etc, as well as community education.
