BUNJIL PLACE MAJOR PROJECT
Stoddart Infrastructure undertook the design, manufacture, and installation of a fantastic custom structure in 2017 within the ‘Nook Garden’ of the huge Bunjil Place re-development in Narre Warren, Victoria. Commissioned to provide a light and inviting covered area for employees of the complex, Stoddart worked with a preliminary design by Taylor Thomson Whitting Engineers and FMJT Architects and brought it to life. Incorporating a laminated safety glass roof supported by structural LVL timber beams resting on a galvanised and powder coated steel frame, the structure fits snugly into the space, sitting half on the paved lower level and half in a raised garden. The visual effect of the large span timbers is quite striking, and Stoddart’s quality fabrication and finishes are immediately evident - but it is the unseen attention to detail in project management and installation of projects such as this that separate Stoddart from it’s competitors across the country.
