PHYSICIAN PARKING
As a reminder, at the Main Campus of OGHS, the physicians’ parking lot is located adjacent to the Emergency Department on the northeast side of the hospital on the lower level of the parking garage. At the South Campus, the physicians’ parking lot is located on the northwest side of the building. Physician-only parking areas are clearly designated. Parking spots with white-lined striping are available to employees/medical staff; yellow-striped parking spots are for patients/visitors only. All physicians must have a parking tag hanging in their window. This enables the OGHS security guards to enforce the parking policy. Only physicians should have these parking tags in their vehicles. Please contact the Medical Staff Office at 337-948-5168 for a physician parking tag, if needed. Vehicles without tags or those parked in yellow-striped parking spots may be ticketed or towed.

DOCTORS’ LOUNGE UPDATE/MEALS
You must be present (in person) with your badge to pick up a meal from the cafeteria. Meals in the cafe will be for providers only, and you will be limited to one meal at no cost. Meals will continue to be provided to physicians at Medical Staff Committee meetings, but orders must be placed with the Medical Staff Office no later than 9am on the morning of the meeting . In our continuing efforts to decrease expenses and increase staff efficiencies, we have identified cost-saving measures related to the reduction of food waste. Beginning September 1, 2023, we will be implementing the following: The new Doctors’ Lounge will open on September 4th. As a reminder, it will be by badge entry only. All medical staff should have their badge on them at all times. The existing lounge will be temporarily closed for cleaning, repairs, and updates.
